Germany in Eurovision 2017: Levina to compete in Kyiv

After a very fierce competition, in which 33 bands and singers faced off, the Germany Eurovision 2017 national final was won by a young artist called Isabella Lueen, commonly known under the stage name of Levina. The young pop singer will represent her country with the song “Perfect Life”, which is currently one of the hottest German hits on most radio stations in the country. Right now, the question on everyone’s lips is: will “Perfect Life” be a perfect song at the Eurovision?

Born on 4 November 1991 close to Cologne, in the city of Bonn, Levina is one of the best young feminine voices in Germany. At the moment, she travels between Berlin and London, where she studies Music Management. With such an innate musical talent, Levina Eurovision participation is bound to be successful.

Levina is one of those singers for whom music represents the most important thing in life. When she was only nine years old, she got singing and piano lessons. She is very passionate about singing and never fails to deliver stunning live performances. The artist writes her own songs, which she performs alongside her band in popular bars and pubs. As a child and teenager, Levina also experimented with acting. For the most part, she played in musicals for kids. When the girl was 16 years old, she decided that acting wasn’t what she wanted and began focusing exclusively on music.

An important difference between Levina and many of the other Eurovision contestants is that before her participation in the national selection she wasn’t famous on a large scale. This makes her winning of the Unser Song 2017 national competition an even greater achievement!

Seeing as Germany is one of the “Big Five” of the EBU, Levina will automatically make it to the final no matter what happens in the previous stages of Eurovision. The Levina Eurovision 2017 inspirational song, “Perfect Life”, is the work of the famous American songwriters Lindy Robbins, Dave Basset and Lindsey Ray, best known for their collaborations with artists like David Guetta, Demi Lovato or Jason Derulo.
