At the Lithuania Eurovision preselection, it was decided that the Baltic country will be represented by Fusedmarc, an electronic duo from Vilnius. Fusedmarc is very popular and successful both in Lithuania and in other European countries. During the second Kyiv semi-final, on 11 May, they will perform the single “Rain Of Revolution”.
Fusedmarc was established in 2004 in the capital city of Vilnius. It is made of two of the most ambitious young artists Lithuania has to offer. The band’s lead singer, Viktorija Ivanovskaja, nicknamed Cilia, also used to sing with a popular Lithuanian funk group. For the Fusedmarc project, Cilia teamed up with the talented guitarist and bassist Denisas Zujevas. Their songs are produced by Stasys Žakas.
Fusedmarc is by far one of the most successful Lithuanian bands of today. They are highly appreciated for the freshness and unpredictability of their rhythms and their mind-blowing visuals. Their style can be described as an innovative combination of electronic music, alternative rock and trip hop. A short while after their establishment, they won a prize for the Best Music Breakthrough at the Alternative Music Awards 2005. Since then, they have been rewarded with many other important awards, such as best experimental music band and best Lithuanian electronic band.
Throughout their career, Fusedmarc has held live gigs on many important European stages. They have performed in countries like England, Germany, Poland, Greece, Russia or the Netherlands. They’ve also been on the line-up of many popular events and festivals like Eurosonic, Klusa Daba or Elektronik Balticum.
The Fusedmarc Eurovision entry is expected to be one of the most well-received acts in the Ukraine competition, as their distinguishing mark represents a recipe for success. Their song, “Rain Of Revolution”, which will be performed live on 11 May, during the second Kyiv semi-final, feature an incredibly lively and energetic rhythm. Moreover, Fusedmarc’s performances are always complemented by amazing visual effects.
