After completing his studies, JOWST went on to open Red Line Studio, a company that dealt in sound engineering and production. His project for Eurovision, entitled “Making a Hit”, was completed after receiving approximately 100 suggestions from friends. At Melodi Grand Prix 2017, Joakim achieved the performance of getting the maximum of twelve points from four international juries.
At Eurovision 2017, the vocals of “Grab the Moment” will be performed by Aleksander Walmann, a musician best known for placing second in the first season of “The Voice – Norges beste stemme”, the Norwegian edition of the popular TV show The Voice.
Virtually every Norwegian is anxiously awaiting the JOWST Eurovision act, which will take place on 11 May, during the second Ukraine semi-final. Written by JOWST himself in collaboration with Jonas McDonnell, “Grab the Moment” is a song that exhibits a very optimistic vibe, as its lyrics talk about overcoming self-doubt and saying yes to opportunities.
